Build skills in the collections

Many on-campus jobs will give you direct access to Beloit’s unique and rich collections. You can also conduct independent research with the materials you discover.

  • Archives Assistants help to make Beloit’s history and archival records accessible to researchers and students. 
  • Museum Assistants work collaboratively with museum staff to catalog and research collections, develop and install exhibits, and design and deploy programs.
  • Work in the Costume shop, sewing clothing and managing the collection.

Practice communicating

Become professionally agile

  • Students work in paid internships each summer through the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, where you can gain hands-on experience in all aspects of running a major arts center, including exhibitions, business, finance, and marketing.
  • Students gain real professional experiences through paid internships at non-profits across Wisconsin each summer through the Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities’ Nonprofit Internship Program.
